We are so excited to introduce a new event specifically for children with a rainbow of special needs; from physical and developmental challenges to sensory and neurodiversity issues. Our goal with this event was to develop an event with a very low performer-to-child ratio and special themed activities to give children a truly special and memorable experience.  So with that in mind, this is what we have planned:

Saturday, May 13, the Rustic Room in Denham Springs, 210 S. Range Ave

Session 1: 1:00-2:00pm
Session 2: 3:00-4:00pm

Admission: $50 per child, ONE ADULT INCLUDED per child ticket
One extra adult ticket may be purchased for $10
Limit 2 adults per child

We will host approximately 15 children PER session.
Within your session time, the children will divided into 2 smaller groups for optimal time with performers and activities.

Character Groupings will be appx 20 minutes each. Two performers per group.

The Little Mermaid: Children will enjoy bubbles with Ariel, as well as plush ocean friends
The Island Princess: Sensory boxes with kinectic sand/themed play objects, fun with flower leis

Beauty: non-breakable tea party cups/plates for “tea time” etc and a short story
The New Orleans Princess: Playdoh station that will be “rolled” to make pretend beignets

We will have fidgets on hand at each station as an alternate activity as well as a coloring station.
Because the groupings are small, your child will have one on one interaction with the characters if they choose to engage.

We are also excited to announce we will have an adorable “Cozy Corner” which is a mushroom tent that will be filled
with soft pillows and books that your child can escape to if overwhelmed at any time!
We want to make sure your child is as comfortable as possible.

For the last 10-15 minutes of the session, we will offer a singalong with the characters as many children respond positively to music.
However, if your child is overwhelmed by this type of activity, they can opt-out at that point and or redirect to the cozy corner
or another activity they would like to revisit.

This is currently an invite-only event for parents that have submitted the surveys online for the event. If you did not submit a survey, your admission will be refunded to hold space for those invited. If any tickets remain by Tuesday, March 28, we will open them to the public.
