An LSU college student named Reagan May launched a small business from her dorm room in 2013 named Rent A Princess. The concept was simple…birthday party character entertainment for the Greater Baton Rouge area. In December 2015, the company was purchased by Venessa Lewis, who is also a mother and professional graphic designer with a degree in mass communications By the way, did we mention she is also the Louisiana Mermaid? Lewis was already very familiar with the concept of children’s entertainment as she gained both local and international attention as a early trailblazer in the industry of mermaiding. Lewis rebranded the company and hiring additional cast. Venessa’s vision is to continue to provide excellent service and a high-quality princess experience for our clientele while expanding our offerings under the name, Petite Princess Company. We are dedicated to being the top character entertainment company in South Louisiana.
While the primary focus of the company is to provide private party entertainment, Petite Princess now hosts many large local events including princess balls, teas and coronations in locations such as the Old State Capitol, Old Governor’s Mansion and the Pavilion of Two Sisters in New Orleans City Park. The company has experienced phenomenal growth by spreading enchantment throughout Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston and beyond!

We provide a number of free or reduced visits, sponsorships and donations throughout the year for community events, hospital visits, silent auction gifts and more.
